Project Overview

The Brookfield Properties App is a multimedia portfolio application for Brookfield Properties to showcase their assets while also creating a common experience across their different brands. Built for use on the web, desktop, and iPad, it includes leasing presentation narratives, interactive maps, property galleries, availability plans, VR experiences, and 3D models. As an intern at Union Design, my primary role for this project was to support the senior designer and coder. Tasks included designing, populating, animating, and updating properties as they came in from the client.

Process

With expansive property lists, it was important to keep the process simple and streamlined. First, the properties were laid out and designed in Adobe XD to fit its primary platform, the iPad. Then, every asset was exported, uploaded, and populated into the unique Content Management System (CMS). Finally, the layouts were animated and the property went live in the application. We would then make updates or edits based on client feedback.

Scope of App

With the app holding over 120 property narratives (36 being uniquely branded), it’s important for everything throughout the app to look cohesive while still giving each property its own look and feel.

For non-branded properties, we created a standard layout and animation style to add visual cohesion application.
